How do you ensure the safety of your students?
The well-being and safety of our students is our primary concern. We are located in the safe neighborhood of Har Nof, Jerusalem, home to thousands of observant Jews. The dormitory staff includes an av and eim bayit as well as a high ratio of madrichot to students. As a fact of life in Israel, every effort is made to take precautions to secure the safety and welfare of the group. All tiyulim are carefully coordinated with the IDF and the Ministry of Tourism and we are prepared to adjust the schedule at any time to maintain the group's safety.
Cell Phones
For the security and safety of our students, each student is required to have a cell phone. Meor HaTorah has negotiated competitive yearly rentals and rates with Talk N' Save. Please complete the online application and your cell phone and number will arrive to your home before your daughter departs for Israel.
Do you provide meals?
We provide three well-balanced meals a day including a vegetarian option upon request.
What are the accommodations like?
Your dormitory is your home, so we aim to make it comfortable. We provide central air conditioning and heating, American-style mattresses, a common lounge for your relaxation and a fully equipped kitchen.
Is Meor HaTorah accredited?
The academic program meets the accrediting requirements of most American colleges and universities. Joint academic programs are also available with select institutions of higher learning.
What is the status of the dorm during bein ha'zmanim (vacations)?
The dorm remains open during the entire academic year.
